Aftercare Instructions

At Aesthetics At Alike, your comfort and results are our priority—not just during your treatment, but afterwards too. Below you'll find general aftercare guidance for the treatments we offer. During your appointment, your practitioner will provide personalised advice based on your individual treatment and skin needs.
After treatment, you will be provided post care instructions (hard copy or email). If you have any questions, please reach out to us via email or during our business hours of Mon-Thur 9am to 5pm on our contact number below.

Wrinkle-Reducing & Muscle-Relaxing Treatments
- Avoid physical exercise and heat exposure such as saunas, hot tubs, or tanning booths. We recommend waiting at least 24 hours after your procedure to partake in any physical exercise.
- Avoid alcohol and painkillers such as asprin, ibuprofen and naproxen sodium for 24 to 48 hours. They can raise your blood pressure and promote bruising.
- Don’t wear anything on the treatment area. Avoid wearing anything which may fit tightly across your forehead, such as a hat or headband.
- No laying down within 4 hours after your treatment.
- Try to sleep on your back to avoid putting pressure points on your face.
- No facial or head massages for 2 weeks after your treatment.
- Gently applying moisturizer and makeup is ok.
- Wait a minimum of two weeks before proceeding with dental work, immunizations, or laser treatments.
Facial Contouring & Volume Restoration Treatment
- Avoid applying pressure to the treated area for 24 hours.
- Refrain from vigorous facial movements (e.g. excessive chewing or smiling) for the first 24 hours.
- Minor swelling, tenderness, or bruising can occur and typically resolves within a few days.
- It is important to avoid hot showers, saunas, or strenuous exercise for at least 48 hours post-treatment to prevent additional swelling.
- You may apply a cold compress to reduce any swelling or bruising, but avoid direct pressure on the treated area.
