Acne Treatments
A Personalised, Clinical Approach
Acne management is highly individualised and depends on several key factors, including the type of acne (such as comedonal, pustular, cystic, or nodular), the underlying causes (e.g., hormonal imbalances, excess oil production, inflammation, or bacterial overgrowth), and the severity and extent of the condition. Because of these variables, there is no one-size-fits-all solution—effective treatment requires a tailored, multi-modal approach.
In-Clinic Treatment Options May Include:
- Laser Rejuvenation: Helps reduce inflammation, target active acne lesions, and improve post-acne pigmentation and scarring.
- LED Light Therapy: Particularly effective for reducing inflammation and targeting acne-causing bacteria, especially with blue and red light wavelengths.
- Skin Needling (Microneedling): Stimulates collagen production to help repair acne scars and improve overall skin texture.
What to Expect
During your consultation, your clinical nurse specialist will conduct a thorough assessment of your skin and overall health to determine the most suitable treatment plan. This may involve a combination of in-clinic procedures and medical-grade home care.
Home Care & Prescription Support:
A customised at-home skincare regime will be recommended to support and maintain clinical results. This may include topical treatments such as retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, and antibacterial agents. Where appropriate, prescription medications (topical or oral) may be provided to address underlying factors such as hormonal imbalances or bacterial infection.
